Importantly, the GSV program helps hospitals meet the new the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) Age Friendly Hospital Measure that is required for all hospitals participating in the CMS Inpatient Quality Reporting Program. Hospitals must demonstrate compliance across the whole hospital, including the emergency department and surgery. CMS will publicly report hospital compliance with this measure beginning in 2026.
